* The Eight Reindeer MonologuesThe Eight Reindeer Monologues

Tired of Christmas Carol and Nutcracker? Here’s a holiday play for those who like their comedy like they like their Christmas chocolate - DARK. As a benefit for HudsonS.P.E.A.K.S. (formerly Hudson County Rape Crisis Center) co-sponsored by Transminssion anddal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of sexual harassment. After performing in multiple productions of The Eight Reindeer Monologues with Chicago's critically acclaimed Journeymen Theater Co., Artistic Pride Production’s Artistic Director, Anthony Wills Jr., brings his take on this hilarious comedy by Jeff Goode to New York audiences. Jack Helbig of The Chicago Reader raved that Journeymen director Frank Pullen makes "this Santa send-up both outrageous and touching”. Following in the footsteps of Pullen, Wills mines the piece for its comedy while adding his own dark twist. Now in its fifth year, this production is expertly played and not only funny but also brings out the often subtle complexity of playwright Jeff Goode's characters. This show is a welcome change from your typical holiday fair. Director Summer Hortillosa outdoes herself again, bringing a fresh approach to what’s soon to be a Jersey holiday tradition. A play within a party, the evening also includes live performances by Kenny Jaworski, Camila Camilo, Robie Frost (Danny Fingers and the Thumbs ), Alishia Taiping and Forget the Whale. Sexual misconduct in the work place...drunken Santa.....flying reindeer…great cocktails…what better way to spend a night at the theater!!! Adult content and themes!!! Mature audiences only!!
